When the back end feels like it’s rolling through corners, this 1" solid 4140 chromoly steel sway bar ties the rear axle to the chassis for a more balanced ride. The adjustable design has three stiffness settings, so you can fine-tune handling to match your setup. Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Hellwig Adjustable Rear Anti-Sway Bar. Now this anti-sway bar is designed to fit your 2009 to 2014 Dodge Ram 1500, then your 2010 to 2018 Ram 1500, both two and four-wheel drives, and then your 2019 and newer Ram 1500, and then 1500 Classic two and four-wheel drives. Insert the year, make and model of your vehicle and our Fit Guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. This bar is designed to replace your factory installed sway bar, and it will reuse your factory supplied end links and some of your original hardware will be reused as well during the installation.
So you wanna make sure that you don't discard that original hardware until after the installation of this anti-sway bar. Now this bar is going to work in conjunction with your suspension system, attaching to the rear axle and to the chassis using the weight of the axle to brace the frame as it shifts and turns. And this bar is going to help minimize side-to-side movement, improving the overall stability of your vehicle. And the system will let you execute turns and quick maneuvers with confidence. It's also going to provide a level ride for you, even on your regular surfaces.
And then it's gonna help reduce driver fatigue by minimizing the effort required to keep your vehicle in line. The holes that are closest to the bar are going to be the stiffest setting, and then the holes that are farthest from the bar are gonna be the softest. So you have that range of adjustability. These bushings are made of polyurethane instead of the standard rubber variety, giving you a longer lasting system. They're durable and resistant to damage caused by oil, gasoline, and ozone. So less wear means less give in the system and better overall support.
This bar has a diameter of one inch. It is made here in the USA of solid heat-treated chromoly steel, giving you that superior strength. And I would like to zoom in overhead just to give you a view of this finish. This bar features a Hammertone Silver Vein finish that's not only gonna give you protection from corrosion, but the finish actually has little divots in it. So when you grease your polyurethane bushings and then slide them on the bar, this finish is gonna do a great job of holding that grease in the bushing to prevent them from squeaking. This does include instructions to guide you through the installation process, and zinc-plated mounting hardware, and also bushing lubricant. Fast free shipping and was easy to install with no problems at all
It's an amazing improvement over the stock sway bar. I don't see any need to use the outer attachment point. It gives you plenty of bar at the lower setting. The mounting hardware and bushings are much better than the stock attachment bracket and bushings. The truck stays flat in a curve. Bottom line: Just buy it!

Nice product However the instructions are terrible! The written instructions have been copied so many times they are basically unusable. The accompanying video left out many important details causing a much longer instal time than necessary. We had to uninstall more than once do to correct the incomplete installation video.
I haven't installed this kit yet, but the quality looks very decent and quality. The kit is complete. The only issue is that I have an 8.8 axle, but the brackets are for a 9.75, however, I think that if I tighten everything down correctly, it should install just fine. Thanks.
I put a really heavy truck camper on my 2017 ram 2500 6.7 hemi and it took turns ok but it would rock side to side a couple times over bumps and uneven roads. I wasn't sure if this would make a difference because the factory one looked pretty big but it made a huge difference. This and airbags are a must for heavy loads.
I also go it a day sooner then I thought.

Solid, sturdy and well built anti-sway bar. I installed it on my 2024 Ford F150 without removing the spare tire and the install went fairly easy. It did take some time as I was.doing it myself. An extra set of hands would make it a bit easier. Love how solid my truck feels and drives now.

Haven’t towed with it yet so not sure how much it will help the sway with a 31ft travel trailer.

For the second time in a row ordering from etrailer, either parts were missing from my order or shipping was a problem. The sway bar works fine, once I got the right parts to install it.
Upon receiving the box which came on time, I took all the pieces out to make sure I got everything I needed. Two 7/16-20 21/4 inch bolts were missing. I called Hellwig customer support and they promptly sent the replacements. The bolts were not packed with the rest of the installation materials. I also want to say that the top of the box was torn open. Many of the heavy staples had come out. The box inside was torn open and a couple of pieces had slipped out. Also someone trampled over the box because there were boot marks all around the box. Very poor quality in delivery service even though it came on time. Important parts could have fallen out and delayed installation. Not very good delivery service.
When lifting a jeep, body roll, increases due to the mechanical advantage of the chassis over the factory sway bars. This larger and adjustable sway bar helps correct that issue and allows for fine-tuning to driver preference.
Application was a 2015 Tacoma.
Install was easy enough. For others that may read this, it would be wise your spare tire to make certain there is no interference with the sway bar.
I have a 33" spare tire, I had to make new adjustments after I tried to put spare tire back up. Infact, May be wise if you have room to leave the spare tire in and work accordingly.
The install is new, sediments are a bit subjective as to difference. But driving while unloaded I get a bit surprised that the Tacoma tracked really well around a curve. Folks at E- Trailer were great.
I really like the fitment and performance of the product. I have installed a Hellwig anti-sway bar on my last 3 trucks and always feel an improvement the way the truck handles cornering and when pulling a load, especially when there is a cross wind.

A huge upgrade from the stock one, it is definitely heavier and even in position 2 it’s way stiffer than stock.

Easy installation on Ram 1500 classic 2wd. Took about 1.5 hrs including the test drive. Didn't have to jack the truck up, just crawled under and bolted it in.

I only recently learned my 2023 1500 ram, which includes the tow package, uses a hollow sway bar. Disappointed in Ram.
Using the outer most setting made a significant difference over the original equipment. In fact the difference is so noticeable I’m going to fireplace the front sway bar as well.
I installed the 1 inch adjustable anti-sway bar on my 2026 ram rebel and it works great. Even though I only put it on the least aggressive setting, the truck handle so much better through the turns now that it did before. I will test it to a 7000 pound trailer in the next couple weeks. . Definitely recommend!. Also, E trailers Service was super friendly and super fast. I received the Hellwig antisway bar in two days after ordering
This is a heavy duty sway bar. The installation was straight forward and simple.
I used the middle adjustment hole as I wanted to tow an RV. I took it on an initial test drive. This unit completely got rid of the body roll. Well please and know that a little hint, wear gloves when apply the lubricant as that is gooey!
